Los Angeles, California: Julia Wandelt, a Polish national, has written a letter to Madeleine McCann’s parents, Kate and Gerry, expressing her suspicion that she is the missing girl. I truly believe I could be Madeleine, said Wandelt, also known as Julia Faustyna and Julia Wendell.
Julia told us that she had listened to Kate’s voice when she was younger after hearing her singing to Madeleine in a video. “I have something to say to Kate McCann. I spoke with the Polish, Portuguese, and English embassies, the Metropolitan Police and Operation Grange (a multimillion-dollar, multiyear British police investigation into Madeleine’s disappearance), Interpol, the Polish and Portuguese police, and the embassy in Poland, but no one listened to me.
