This has not been a great season for the Los Angeles Lakers till now. There are a lot of decisions that the franchise must be regretting. Although LeBron did put up a great effort they lacked the collective teamwork overall.
Los Angeles Lakers decision to pick Jalen
The Los Angeles Lakers‘ decision to pick up Jalen has failed miserably as he has failed to make his impact. Jalen is averaging 2.3 points per game, 1 rebound per game, 0.6 assists per game. Jalen had a very poor season till now, he also had to miss out few games due to injury. There were other players that the Lakers might have picked up but they showed confidence in Jalen which did not work out yet.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. ignored by the Lakers
The biggest mistake that the Lakers made was not picking up Jaime Jaquez Jr. According to sources, some of the people from the Lakers franchise were keen to pick Jaime but later on, for some reason, they ended up picking Jalen.

The Miami Heat picked up Jamie and he did not disappoint them. Jamie is averaging 10 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assists. He is out there in the league of Victor Wembanyama and other talented rookies who have impressed the fans with their gameplay.
In an interview, Jaime expressed his thoughts on getting into the Miami Heat. It seemed like he was happy with the fact the Los Angeles Lakers did not pick him.
“I wanted to get away, I think, for myself, I thought it was important for me to be able to go out of my comfort zone and experience something new. I didn’t want to be a guy who said, ‘Oh, I just stayed in Southern California all my life.’ I wanted to go live in a different, new place. And that’s why I was very excited to go to Miami. It was new. Everyone compares it, but I think it’s very, very different.” Jaime Jaquez Jr. said
The LA Lakers must be regretting the decision of not picking up Jaime. Now it will be interesting to see how the Lakers survive in the tournament. Also, there is a lot of expectation from Jaime who has been quite decent this season.
