Actress Kelly Preston has died of breast cancer, her husband, John Travolta wrote on social media. She was 57 years old. And this news came as a shock to all her fans.
“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,” Travolta wrote on Instagram. The actor further wrote that his wife fought with cancer bravely with the love and support of all her fans and family. But, unfortunately, she lost her two-year-battle with the cancer today. Kelly Preston played prominent roles in the films, “Jerry Maguire”, “Twins”, and “For Love of the Game”.
The couple wed in 1991 and have two children, 20-year-old daughter Ella and 9-year-old son Benjamin. Kelly Preston and John Travolta also had a son, Jetta who died at an age of 16 in 2002 of a seizure during a family vacation in the Bahamas.
It was just three weeks ago when Kelly Preston posted her family photo to celebrate Father’s Day. She wished Father’s Day to the best one she knew, that was her husband. But, the actress’s untimely death came as a shock to many.
Travolta, in his statement, said he will be taking time off following Preston’s death. As he wants to be there for my children who have lost their mother. And no doubt, that this is definitely a tough time for the family. They’ll surely need some time to recover from their loss. Our deepest condolences for them.
