Recently, the movie and the actress have been under fire because of the scenes portrayed between a student and a teacher, with an age gap of 31 years!
Jenna Ortega’s Miller’s Girl Scene Has Gravely Disturbed The Fans
The main character of Miller’s Girl is 18-year-old Cairo (Jenna), a young girl who, upon receiving a writing assignment from her English teacher, Jonathan Miller (Martin Freeman), develops feelings for him. Due to Cairo’s writing abilities, Miller has been treating her differently; however, after realizing how improper this is, he chooses to stop.
When he eventually rejects Cairo’s approaches, tensions between them start to escalate. Cairo then accuses her professor of being more than simply a teacher and student and goes one step further, saying that she had an affair with him.
There was already a growing concern among fans that the portrayal of a romantic relationship between the teacher and student in the movie, particularly those with a significant age gap, can lead to harassment of female students. Unfortunately, instances of harassment often go unreported, and this has prompted criticism from fans.

Now, another argument has erupted over one of Jenna’s intimate encounters with Martin Freeman in the movie, which has been termed “gross.” This sneak peek of the scene from the movie sent social media into a frenzy, and several reviews have since appeared.

Despite the terrible reviews from fans, Jenna’s intimacy coordinator, Kristina Arjona, has confirmed that Jenna Ortega was comfortable with the scene and was involved with every decision taken to shoot that particular scene.
“There was many, many people throughout this process, engaging with [Jenna] to make sure that it was consistent with what she was comfortable with, and she was very determined and very sure of what she wanted to do”
