Jack De Sena, also known as John Patrick De Sena, is an actor from the United States. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 6, 1987. In 1999, his family relocated to Irvine, California, where he went to Irvine High School. He later went on to attend UCLA.
De Sena was heavily involved in the renowned ComedySportz group, which is an international team known for their comedic improvisation and participation in games similar to those on Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Career
In 2002, Jack De Sena became a member of the cast of All That’s 7th season. He later received the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama) – Leading Young Actor, tying with Logan Lerman in 2005.
His quick wit and improvisational talent on Avatar: The Last Airbender as Sokka earned him widespread acclaim. He also made a guest appearance as Jimmy Olsen on The Batman.
De Sena’s credits include being a part of the team behind the 2008 Webby Honoree for Best Writing and Comedy: Individual Short or Episode, Dorm Life, an online mockumentary web series.
He also made an appearance on King of the Hill in the episode titled “Luanne Gets Lucky” and on Generator Rex in the episode “Crash and Burn.”
De Sena’s acting career includes roles in various TV shows and films. In 2012, he was seen on Hulu’s Battleground and the following year, he served as a judge for a texting contest and played an airport investigator on Sam & Cat.
In 2014, he lent his voice to the character of Robin in the animated movie JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time. From 2014 to 2016, he portrayed “Mr. Roberts” on the TV series 100 Things to Do Before High School.
Since January 19, 2016, he and his close pal, Chris W. Smith, have been producing and featuring in humorous skits on their YouTube platform “Chris and Jack”. The channel is updated with fresh skits on the first and third Friday of each month.
As of September 14, 2018, he lends his voice to the character Callum on the popular animated show, The Dragon Prince, streaming on Netflix.
