Ivanka Trump currently working as the adviser for the White House could be the new President of World Bank. Before joining White House, she was working as vice-president for acquisitions for Trump’s Corp.
The World Bank was established after World War II for economic developments in emerging and progressing nations. Former World Bank Jim Yong Kim, has departed from his duty.
Jim Yong Kim announced on Monday that he was cutting short his tenure as the bank’s president. This is more than three years before his second term is due to end.
The federal administration which is currently in a hostile state, but has the duty to nominate for the board of World Bank.
Ivanka Trump was also nominated for the post of outgoing Ambassador to UN. But after allegations against Donald Trump of nepotism, State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert was nominated.
Trump tweeted,
It is great that people want Ivanka to become Ambassador for United Nations. But I have heard allegations of Nepotism against me and there are other qualified person too.
Candidates other than Ivanka Trump for World Bank President
There have been other nominations too that includes Mark Green (USAID Director), Nikki Haley (Former UN Ambassador) and David Malpass (Treasury Under-Secretary for International Affairs).
Ivanka Trump has no qualification in the field of international trade and economics. But she has always been a businesswoman. She also had her fashion brand which got closed last summer.

A Treasury spokeswoman told the Financial Times that the Department was sent ” a large number of recommendations for good candidates “. “The Department has started the internal review process ” to select a candidate to be appointed to the Board of the World Bank. Only time will tell whether Ivanka Trump makes the cut or not.
