Grey’s Anatomy Season 16 is all set to return to satiate the hunger of the fans to unveil what is going to happen next.
Grey’s Anatomy season 15 finale opened up multiple possibilities for the story to branch out. It took some pretty big swings to leave the fans on the massive cliffhanger.

Grey’s Anatomy season 16 and Jake’s fate
With cliffhanging finale leading several stories to tidy up, fans are expecting more about Jackson’s story. Played by Jesse Williams, Jackson aka Jake’s story on his fate is arguably the biggest story of the Grey’s Anatomy season 16.
Jake’s character was last seen as entering the fog where a pile-up had occurred.
How Jake will emerge from his heroic act is still unclear for the fans. The writers themselves are skeptical about this massive cliffhanger and where to take it next.
Grey’s Anatomy season 16 writers leave the scene open-ended.
Since the writers are still undecided about Jake’s closing scene, show writer Krista Vernoff said that the scene is intentionally left open-ended by the writers. To brainstorm and create discussions among the fans.
According to Hollywood reporter, show writer Krista Vernoff said;
“It was a creative decision. It was a cliffhanger. I want people to come back [in the fall] and talk all summer and wonder what happens to him. We have not mapped it out.”
Fans are excited to know to see how the cliffhanger will affect Jake’s fate. The writers of Grey’s Anatomy season 16 are also assumed to choose pretty dark fate for the de facto chairman.

To discuss the cliffhanger further, Grey’s Anatomy season 16 writers have planned a meet up on June 3. Krista Vernoff along with others will discuss the fate of the upcoming chapter.
Along with Jake’s storyline, there will be plot discussions of DeLuca and Meredith. The Grey’s Anatomy season 16 writers have various thrilling avenues to explore.
The season 15 was themed as “Season of Love,” however the writers are undecided about the theme of season 16. The fans would give anything to know if the Season 16 theme is similar or polar opposite of season 15 theme. So far there has been no official announcement of when the next season will release.
