Since Ufotable has already made hints about their work for the following chapter of the manga series, fans are anxiously awaiting the publication of Demon Slayer Season 4.
But here is why there might be no Season 4 right after Season 3 of the anime series.

Reason Why Demon Slayer Season 4 Might Not Happen!
Demon Slayer Season 3 concluded with the Swordsmith Village Arc on June 18, 2023. So far, the Demon Slayer anime has included the following story arcs:
- First Selection Arc (Chapters 1-9)
- Kidnapper’s Bog Arc (Chapters 10-13)
- Asakusa Arc (Chapters 14-19)
- Tsuzimi Mansion Arc (Chapters 20-27)
- Mount Natagumo Arc (Chapters 28-44)
- Rehabilitation Training Arc (Chapters 45-53)
- Mugen Train Arc (Chapters 54-69)
- Entertainment District Arc (Chapters 70-97)
- Swordsmith Village Arc. (Chapters 98-127) —> You have reached this point in the anime series.
So far, the Demon Slayer anime series is following the manga arcs in order, and fans can expect the Hashira Training Arc from the manga series coming up next. However, here lies the problem. The Hashira Training Arc covers only nine chapters (128-136), not enough to cover a whole season. Therefore, fans can expect another movie on the way, covering the Hashira Training Arc.
Similar circumstances occurred with the Mujen Train Arc, which had 16 chapters but was too short to be included in a season; as a result, those chapters were turned into a movie. All that Ufotable has released thus far is a teaser for the Hashira Training Arc, which has featured all the Hashiras. They did not specify, however, whether it would be a season or a movie.
Due to a shortage of sources, Demon Slayer Season 4 may use content from the light novels. There are now 14 light novels in the manga series, and the sixth book “Demon Slayer Novelization: Breaking into the Infinity Castle! Shinobu’s Thoughts Arc” will probably be included in the upcoming season. Shuka Matsuda, the writer of the light novel series, wrote the original plot, while Koyoharu Gotoge created the visuals.
