These both men are to become future Hall-of-Famers as Cerrone is never going to win in UFC but he will be remembered for his fondness than McGregor by his MMA fanbase. While, McGregor burst like a rocket as the UFC’s first mainstream star.

McGregor is at his major transitional point of his career as he is the UFC’s most valuable commodity and biggest pay-per-view draw, he has to win his next fight. Though he has been saying to rematch against Khabib Nurmagamedov, he didn’t stretch the issue after losing the match with Nate Diaz. After his defeat, he told that he will be back with high confidence and fully prepared. He also told that if the rematch was not right away no problem but he will face what comes next as it’s always him, anyway.
McGregor fight against Cerrone might be what he needs to get back his power as an iconic fighter.
After Cerrone broke Mike Perry’s arm in a submission win, he told that he is planning on moving back down to lightweight to acquire the championship from Khabib Nurmagamedov. In his post-fight interview Cerrone told that there is someone who told him that there is his click bait and that it’s going to be exciting and they’ll love it.

This actually would be an unexpected fight but the cowboy deserves a red panty night after a good and tremendous career. It could be risk and reward for both men.
