Chris Paul spent the initial phase of his professional career at Oklahoma City and has a lot of good memories from it. Chris used to play at Oklahoma City for the first two years with the New Orleans Hornets. From some of his interviews, it was evident that Paul enjoyed playing in that city. He loved the crowd support that the Orleans team used to get there while playing, and Chris even stated that he had not seen such crowd support anywhere else.

Chris Paul once also explained how his home in Oklahoma City smelled like dog food because a dog’s food plant was nearby and Paul used to love his home. He even remembers the rent that he paid for it.
“You could walk in the front door and fall out the back. It used to smell like dog food all the time because when the wind blew, the dog food plant was right there… But I loved it. I paid $750 a month”, Chris Paul said
Chris Paul praised Kevin Durant
In an interview in 2019, Chris Paul was asked about his thoughts on the Oklahoma City Thunders and Kevin Durant (who played for Thunders during that time), Chris Paul praised OKC’s style of play, and he was impressed by it. He appreciated their fast play of style and went on to praise KD. With a combination of James Harden, Russel Westbrook, and Kevin Durant, OKC looked very strong at that time. They had immense talent on the roster and was one of the strongest team. Chris praised Kevin and believed that he could be one of the most dangerous for the opponents.
“They’re real good. They’re young and athletic. They play fast, they play hard, and they play together. They have a great young team and a soon-to-be All-Star in Kevin Durant. KD is one of the top players in the league. To go (seven) straight games with 30 or more points, KD is a problem for whoever tries to guard him.”, Chris Paul said

Kevin joined The Phoenix Suns in 2022, and there was a lot of hope for the Suns. Chris was quite happy with the addition of KD as he had already expressed his appreciation for the star player in the past, and now playing alongside him was a happy moment for Chris. Having Chris Paul and Kevin together, The Suns were looking for top contenders for the title but sadly they couldn’t win. Fans still have hope for them for the next season.
