Catherine Reitman is an actress, producer, and writer of Canadian-American descent. She serves as the creator, executive producer, writer, and lead actress of the Netflix/CBC Television sitcom Workin’ Moms, which aired from 2017 to 2023.
Early Life & Education
Catherine Reitman was born on April 28, 1981, in Los Angeles, California. Reitman is the daughter of Geneviève Robert, a French-Canadian actress, and Ivan Reitman, a film director from Slovakia.
Her father hailed from a Jewish background, while her mother embraced Judaism through conversion. She attended the Cate School and specialized in acting at the University of Southern California. She is the sister of Caroline Reitman and filmmaker Jason Reitman.

In January 2011, Reitman initiated Breakin’ It Down with Catherine Reitman, a film review web series on YouTube, which concluded in July 2013.
She sometimes substituted for Kevin Smith as a guest co-host alongside Ralph Garman on their podcast, Hollywood Babble-On.
Catherine Reitman featured in the television series The Real Wedding Crashers, which is inspired by the successful film Wedding Crashers.
