Kawaka is after Boruto after stealing Hinata and Naruto in another reality. He manages to find him and calls out Momoshiki. Despite resistance, Momoshiki surrenders. Kawaka then slices his eye, technically Boruto’s right eye.

Sasuke tries to stop Kawaki from killing Boruto and dies in the process. He is killed by Kawaki in front of Boruto and Sarada.
