Lately, people falling in the age bracket of 25-35 are being a victim of heart attacks and we have witnessed more deaths now than ever. Sadly, another person has passed away due to the same. You might remember the talented and competitive singer CJ Harris from American Idol. He reached the top six of the competition in 2014. However, in a tragic development, CJ suffered an apparent heart attack Sunday night, January 15, in Jasper, Alabama. The singer was not able to make it out alive.
A family member who confirmed the news explained that Harris was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The American Idol rockstar broke the stage with his rendition of ‘Soulshine’ by the Allman Brothers Band. Other soulful covers included ‘Free Fallin’, ‘American Woman’, and ‘Too Close’. Harris was particularly adored by the American Idol judges as he came via a wildcard entry to the semi-finals after he was eliminated due to low votes.

In one of the episodes, Keith Urban, an American Idol judge praised Harris, The judge said, “You sing ’cause you have to sing, not ’cause you want to sing. And, I mean that in the deepest way. And, that’s why it’s so believable and real.” Harris explained that his musical journey started at the age of eight. He started playing guitar, then polished his piano playing skills, and soon became a member of a church choir. Many fans mourned the death of the singer who was only 31.

What?!? Another medical emergency or another heart attack on a young person!?! Who would have guessed. So sad for his family.
Why turn a tragic death into a political debate. People are soulless. My heart goes out to his family in their grief.
Sadly, young, apparently healthy men & women, do occasionally suffer cardiac arrests & die suddenly resulting from lifestyle choices. When celebrities die, it makes news & we point fingers. Let’s pray for their families instead!
