On Friday, Amazon, the e-commerce giant made an announcement stating that the shopping by the customers for the Black Friday is has broken records and that too in just nine hours.
The company further stated that the pace of the sales is already set to beat the number of sales which were made last year.
The e-commerce giant reported that by now the customers have purchased about a million toys and about 7,00,000 items of fashion.
Amazon also released a list stating the items that were sold the best by far. That comprises of the Echo Dot of the third generation along with the Fire Stick 4K with Alexa Voice Remote and the Fire 7 tablet.
The list also included the Eight Quart Version of the Instant Pot along with the Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Car Seat and the Complete 8 Film Collection on the Blu Ray of the Harry Potter.
The e-commerce giant ran a full week sales up to the Black Friday, but the sales on the day itself remained the best sales of the singles day for Amazon. This was bested only by the Cyber Monday.
An announcement was made by Amazon today that it will be stating its Cyber Monday Deals Week on the 24th of November which is a Saturday. The sales will last through the entire next week.
The company has promised increased selection as well as deeper discounts for the year.
The best single day for shopping of the Amazon is still the Cyber Monday. The company had announced last year that its Cyber Monday sales for 2017 have been the record breaking largest singles day sales ever.
The Prime Day of 2018 surpassed the Cyber Monday of 2017 but that lasted only 36 hours so there are big chances that the Cyber Monday for this year still holds the title.
