Recently a TikTok video has gained the attention of millions where a delivery driver can be seen arguing with the customers for not tipping her. The driver further threatened to return all the groceries back to the store for not getting tipped by the customers.
The video has gained over 2 million views since it was posted and has sparked an online debate over American tipping culture.
TikTok Video Exposes Delivery Driver Who Refuses To Deliver Groceries For Not Being Tipped
A video posted on TikTok, which has been watched over 2.5 million times, shows a delivery person exchanging strong words with a pair of customers concerning tipping.

A recording showed a delivery driver having an argument with a pair of customers regarding how much tip she deserved for a large grocery order. The driver claimed that the order was worth $400 and that the customers were obligated to tip her.
“You should see how much work this was and why I should be getting a tip because of how much work this was.”
The delivery person then went on to explain the importance of tipping, but the couple remained adamant in their decision. One of the customers can be heard disagreeing with the delivery person.
“No, you don’t deserve a tip, you’re crushing the ramen noodles for one.”
The driver’s irritation grew by the second, and finally, she declared that she was returning all of their items to the store. The driver starts to put the grocery items back in her car.
“They’re not for you anymore,” she said.
She further added,
“I had to pack all of this in my car and bring it to you guys and unpack it. You didn’t pay me. You paid the delivery app.
The other half of the pair complained that the delivery driver had taken their food. They further declared that they would be filing a report against her for not handing over the food.
However, the driver was not budging and explained to the couple that they could re-order their groceries and another driver would come to deliver them.
“You guys can get your refund, and another delivery driver can deal with you guys.”
The debate went on and on, and when it finally concluded the woman was still putting the shopping into her car. However, the internet stood divided in their opinions on the tipping culture.
One user wrote,

Another user sided with the delivery driver,
“I’m sorry but ordering all the stuff and not tipping is insane!”
A user wrote,
“Always tip. The people that say ‘Tipping is optional’ are the ones that’s broke.”
One user commented to show their solidarity towards the driver,
“No tip? Girl bye I’m with the driver.”
Regardless, there were several other users who agreed that the couple did not owe the driver any additional tip.
“Tipping is optional! Idc if I paid $400! I’m glad they didn’t tip her because acting entitled for a tip is CRAZY!!!”, stated one user.
A DoorDash delivery partner also shared their view on the matter,
“As someone who does DoorDash on the side, you know what you’re getting paid beforehand so it’s on her for accepting it.”
