Conor McGregor is arguably the biggest star that UFC has ever produced. While Khabib Nurmagomedov might have replaced him as the highest paid star in the company, when it comes to drawing power, McGregor is second to none.
The Irishman, who has been away from the company since the unfortunate events after the main event of UFC 229 has finally confirmed he would be back to the octagon – and that will happen sooner than we expected it to!
Let us take a closer look at what McGregor has said and when will he be returning to the UFC.
Conor McGregor Confirms UFC Return
While this isn’t a 100% confirmation – but McGregor has finally expressed interest (and intent) towards getting back to the octagon. In a recent tweet, he wrote: “Wow! I’ve had 11 UFC bouts to this date… Next up is the 12th.”
This is a clear indicator of the things to follow, and a big hint towards the imminent return of Conor McGregor. He had been penalized after his UFC 229 fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov and was banned for a few months. Following that, he is yet to make a return. But with this tweet, it looks like ‘The Notorious’ finally wants to be back!
When Will McGregor Return to the UFC?
As of now, no date has been made official, but Dana White had commented earlier that he expects McGregor to be back by late 2019. Even before he makes his return, opponents are queuing up for Conor McGregor – this includes Justin Gaethje, who has been one of the most prominent rising names in the UFC of late!
